Welcome to our SDG series: SDG 13 - Climate action

SDG 13

Volvo, the Swedish automotive company, has made several contributions toward SDG 13 (climate action), including but not limited to electric mobility. Volvo is committed to phasing out gasoline cars and focus on producing electric vehicles (EVs) only.

Furthermore, Volvo is using renewable energy and making their manufacturing processes more efficient in order to reduce their environmental footprint.

Volvo strongly beliefs in public-private collaboration and actively supports rules and systems that promote cleaner transportation and encourage sustainable practices. Volvo is carefully monitoring their supply chain and make efforts to develop a sustainable supplier base.

Lastly, Volvo actively engages in campaigns and initiatives to raise awareness about climate change and the importance of sustainable practices. This involves educating consumers about the benefits of electric vehicles and sustainable transportation choices.

By addressing these aspects, Volvo contributes significantly to SDG 13 by combating climate change impacts, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly practices within the automotive industry.

Next week we will continue with SDG 14, where we will be highlighting one of our strategic partners. Curious?
